Ajimobi’s Daughter Calls The Students Of LAUTECH Protesting “Generation Of Mannerless Children”
Even as the outrage generated by the outburst of Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, at protesting students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is yet to settle, the governor’s daughter, Ajibola has poured fuel into the burning flame.
Mrs Ajibola took to her Instagram page to describe the students as “a generation of mannerless children”.
“Generation of Mannerless children, they don’t respect their parents, how will they respect the Constitution” the governor’s daughter said in apparent reaction to the students’ protest on January 9.
LAUTECH students had, on January 9, protested the continued closure of the university since June last year.
Oyo governor, whose state jointly owns the university, clearly angered by the students it was not a big deal that the university has been closed for 7 months.
“Your school being locked for eight months is no big deal. Is your school the first to be locked, if this is how you will come to talk to me, go and do your worst, I dare you,” he said.
The Senior Assistant to Mr. Ajimobi on Media, Yomi Olayinka, told Premium Times that the governor’s office was not aware of Ajibola’s statement.
