The Leprotic Education System in Nigeria
People wonder why the Nigeria education sector is this bad to the extent that people are forced to go to school they do not intend going, One major problem is the people in power. They believe they can do anything and everything and expect every Tom, Dick and Harry to dance to their tune fine , they have got the power but they don`t do things right and this is all because of their greed, selfishness, lack of contegrity and dignity.they turn the live{future} of innocent children to a game, a game of power. As the goes_be a goes leader and you`ll have followers who believe in you. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. The first group goes into power and do what they know how to do best -corruption the next feels if the first can do that and go scortfree, then they can and will. This goes round and round .The circle is vicious. Another major problem is the lack of up-to-date facilities. If the government eventually outgrows corruption and greed, there will be enough funds to buy and install the facilities neededto study. Futhermore, when aspiring student eventually get adimission into their various chioce of university, the university lacture room get congested, why? year in, year out which prolongs their stay in the varsity and make it congested that it affects the next group of aspiring students for example the Nigeria univesity can only accept 4000 numbers of people but people applied for the school for a particular course please can someone tell me how the nations educational system is going to move forward because when this happens some of these innocent people that didn`t get into the varsity that year will apply again the next year and the whole procedure tepeat itself and again and again. This circle is deadly because it destroys people`s lives. some of them get fed up and decide not to further their education and become parasite to the nation. The parasite are the same people that thos in power pick to fight for them when election comes again and where they will "Promise" better educational system. some of them decide to go abroad to study. when this happen, it affect the economy no doubt about it -and they decide to live and work there rather than coming to live in their nation. The solution to all these is that corruption should be stopped but Iknow it is no easy task. Another is youth empowerment, teaching of the up and coming generation about integrity and dignity. As for the decongestion of universities, parasite should be remove from the school and be engaged in vocationaltraining and those who have carryover should take their subject during the summer while the school is on vacation.this enable them to resume and remain in the same pace as their colleagues and this reduce shame and stigmatization a long way. when this occurs, the schools will be decongested and the next aspiring students can gain admission into the school. All the above nkentioned are not easy tasks but if we should all unite, it would be possible and easy to carry out. Nigerian varsities should also be the top among the best universities in the world and if not so in Africa
